A: Yes, Hair And Spa In Motion also does make-up and functions such as weddings, graduations and proms. Please, call us to discuss.

Q: How long does bridal hair take?

A: Depending on complexity of hair style, you should allow for about 40-60 minutes for the bride and about 35-55 minutes for each of the members of your bridal party; this includes hair styling and makeup. If you plan to attach a tiara, veil, flowers and decorative pins, then you'll need some extra time too. We bring as many assistants as needed to accommodate your schedule. We do offer a free (with booking) consultation at your home where we meet with you (and your bridal party, if you like) to discuss your requirements and go through some bridal books. At that time, we also take some notes, photos and a deposit. We also highly recommend a bridal trial well before the wedding date.

Q: Do you do consultations?

A: Yes, we can provide brief and general advice and consultation over the phone free of charge with booking. However, since this is a "visual" business, for best results, we'll need to meet with you to discuss your needs.

Q: How much notice do I need to book an appointment?

A: It depends on what services you need and our availability. It can be the same day or a week away. Please, call us.

Q: Do I need to provide anything?

A: No, absolutely nothing. We bring all supplies and equipment.

Q: What sort of equipment do you use for the spa services?

A: We use a portable, foldable spa bed that is light enough for one person to carry. We also use wheeled tool boxes that contain our supplies, brushes etc. We are truly mobile. You get the same service in your home as you would in a well equipped salon or spa.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: We accept all major credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, AMEX) and cash.

Q: How will you cut, style or colour my hair at my home?

A: We shampoo your hair using a portable and lightweight washing tray that fits comfortably around your neck and drains into the sink. We use clear plastic sheets and cover a large area on the floor to catch the cut hairs and/or drops of hair colour. When we are finished, we clean up after ourselves. We leave no mess behind.

Q: What about my furniture and floor?

A: We take measures in covering and protecting your furniture and floor.

Q: What geographical area do you cover?

A: We work primarily in the Durham area of Ontario, Canada. However, depending on the services that you desire, we'll go further for a small travel fee. Please, call us to discuss.
